Since 2020, when the first wave of COVID-19 affected Sri Lanka, Qualitea Ceylon adheres to all the safety and hygiene protocols with utmost precision within its office and factories. We, as one of the reputed entities in the Tea export industry in Sri Lanka, believe in putting people first, by implementing standards to ensure that the workplace is clean and hygienic. Our primary reflex was to ensure our employees and their families are safe, healthy, and secured. Therefore to improve employee safety, we focused on identifying and strengthening staff who were more vulnerable, by supporting each other, during these challenging times. Empowerment of people and decision-making at the right level enabled our organization to respond swiftly and effectively to the pandemic. This also helped Qualitea Ceylon in discovering novel ways to adapt to the new normal with technological transformations.
